Portsmouth Historic Dockyards

We took a day trip to Portsmouth to visit the Historic Dockyards, the home of many ships including the recently raised wreck of Henry VIII's favourite warship, the Mary Rose. The artefacts that survived over 500 years at the bottom of the harbour were amazing, as was the skeleton of the ship herself.

Banbury

Due to a new improved rail link to Banbury we made a trip on the train (with our bikes) to visit Banbury. Such notable sights as the Banbury Cross and such delights as Banbury cakes were enjoyed.
