Walking on a nice winter afternoon

Today we joined up with the Oxford branch of the Ramblers (the UK walking group) and wandered around North East from where we live.  I was amazed to see Woodperry House in the middle of our walk (pictured below).  Built some time around 1728 it was quite a spectacle tucked away in the middle of our jaunt!  It’s this sort of place I’d like to live in…

    I found your picture of Woodperry House on Google — my husband DID live there! Yes, it’s beautiful. He took me there the morning after our wedding, and the new owner was very unfriendly and practically shooed us off the premises. My husband said his father never had the house all gated up like that and would have welcomed former owners…ah well. I wonder if I’ll ever get to see inside.
