Oxford Eights

We went and saw the last day of the Eights this weekend.  The Eights is a bump race, a rowing race where the boats line up 10 meters apart and when the race begins they attempt to try and catch (or “bump”) the boat in front of them.  If they do, they progress up the line for the next race.  The winner is who, by the end of the regatta, is the first boat to cross the line.  Listen to me, all boatie and all!  So we went along, sat on the side of the river Isis (which is just the river Thames renamed ’cause it’s running through Oxford) and had a picnic with one of Kate’s co-workers Lisa and her better half James.  The drink of the day is Pimm’s and lemonade.  How very Oxford.

As I understand it, to be truly Oxford dont you need to wear tweed and smoke a pipe? (Or is that being Cambridge!?)

IMPORTANT! To be able to proceed, you need to solve the following simple math (so we know that you are a human) :-)

What is 15 + 14 ?
